Pretty much everyone nowadays is familiar with sushi and the hate it or love it atmosphere that surrounds it. Sushi has been known by many names in even more countries over the centuries. Some of the earliest records of the preparation of sushi date back as far as the first and second century AD and became known as naresushi. Instead of consisting of fish and rice to be eating together, the fish was preserved in a mixture of fermented rice and salt to keep it stable for storage. Heading into a New Year: Part 4

Finally, we've made it to the last blog post of the year: What to Expect in 2018! We have a lot we are hoping to accomplish in this new year! We will be continuing our permanent price of $2.10 a track plate, of course. We are hoping to continue making changes within the restaurant, to freshen our look as well as making it more appealing to you, our customers. Some of these changes may be as simple as changing or adding decorations but we hope they will create a better environment for everyone.

We are also hoping to create a brand new sign for the store, featuring our beautiful Hanbok Lady. This is to add to our new brand creation which we are hoping will also be expounded on by a redesign of our restaurant menu! Heading into a New Year: Part 3

We've had two major highlights that we want to expound on from this year. The first was the launching of our new website! We are so excited about the new prospects this gives us. Not only does it allow us to remain in contact with you, our customers, through these blog posts; but it allows us to add images of all of our menu items. We understand that many of you are confused about what to expect from our Korean food items, we are hoping that by being able to view the food first through these images you will feel more comfortable about ordering. Heading into a New Year: Part 2

Yesterday we started talking about changes that were made this past year. Today we are going to continue with the rest of the changes we completed! Along with the changes to the business cards and website we started to remodel our restaurant. We removed most of the tables to create more space. Instead, we added bigger booths to fit bigger groups! We were extremely excited about this change as it allowed us to easily accommodate larger parties. We moved our smaller booths over by the sushi track to allow more access while keeping the area open. We removed the tv's to promote more conversation among each other. We also repainted some of the wall the update the look and add more color. We welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have!

Heading into a New Year

For the next 4 days we will be going over the changes made to Kinja throughout this year, some of our history, highlights and what you have to look forward to in 2018! We are so excited about the progress we have made and our future prospects! Like many small businesses we have had our ups and downs throughout this year, but we faced them head on and gave it all we had. First we started our renovations with some changes to our brand.

Many of you may have noticed the change to our business/punch cards; this was just the start of many changes we will be making in the near future.
